European Tour II
Mamasweed is back from their tour through Poland and Ukraine. On the way through the countries of the next European Football Championship they played in Poznan, Odessa, Slavske and Warsaw. Soon you can read here the complete tour diary. But so much for now: Mike Hentz supported the show at his best. Poznan was technically the perfect show. The roads were long. Odessa felt really musical and mediterranean (see some pictures here). The Ukranian Carpats had high water, but finally the festival happened. Warsaw was hot. Mamasweed was welcome everywere. They are on the way to become a real European Band.

European Tour
After the Berlin shows with the Prague band "Kill the Dandies" Mamasweed went straight to Paris, the City of Love. The band played their a great gig. The local bands as well as the local promoter told horrible stories about the situation for musicians in Paris. Don't think Berlin is the hardest place. After that Gogo, Mamasweed's singer, went to a lousy paid, but great soloshow to London. His resumee is, that next time the whole band got to go there, because the audience there understands rock music. Mamasweed's next stops on their European tour are Poland and Ukraine.

Pale House Rock
When Steve Morell from Pale Music Int. asked Mamasweed how they wanna call their EP for Pale, keyboardplayer Arne Augustin said :"How about Pale House Rock?" Steve liked that idea so much, that he founded a new sublabel with that name for his Punk, Rock & Derrière Garde releases. It is definately a reason to party. So there are two parties with the Pale House Rock bands on wed. june 25th in Bassy, Berlin and on fri. june 27th at White Trash, Berlin. So join the darker shade of Pale!

Ich muss es wieder einmal schreiben. Berlin, Berlin. Cool. Immer wieder. Weil immer wieder überaschend. Überraschend schön. Dieser Tage mit dem Fahrrad auf dem Heimweg. Schönhauser Allee, Höhe Kulturbrauerei, auf einmal laute Mugge. Hörte sich gut an. Bloß woher kam das? Aus der Brauerei wohl nicht, denn die Lautstärke nahm dahinter zu. Und nicht ab. Dann hatte ich sie entdeckt. Unter der U-Hoch-Bahn. Schönhauser/Ecke Eberswalder. Direkt neben Curry-Konnopke. Eine Live-Mugge sozusagen mitten auf der Straße, auf dem Mittelstreifen. Oben die U2, links und rechts Autos, Räder und Mopeds. Dazwischen Mamasweed. Coole Mugge, cooles Publikum, coole Hauptstadt.

Rock Food Free Show
Wednesday, may 14th, Mamasweed will play their brandnew recorded songs at Konnopkes Imbiss in Berlin.

MAMASWEED stillt den Hunger! Am 14. Mai 2008 gibt es ROCKfutter satt bei Berlins ältester und bekanntester Currybude - "Konnopke´s Imbiss" in der Schönhauser Allee 44a. Der Hunger der Fans ist groß und in den Töpfen der Berliner Independent-Rocker brodelt es mächtig. Das Menü der neuen LP steht, und am 14. Mai 2008 wird es von 18.00 bis 20.00 Uhr die erste Vorstellung der Songs live bei Konnopke im Prenzlauer Berg geben.

String Theory in Volksbuehne, Berlin
Mamasweed had a real great first day in the new year. They performed with many other musicians a song with a string quartett. Mamasweed played the song "Mrs. Nice" conducted by Nils Tegen.
